S08 → AofAP
Atlas of Action Potentials

The dream of human life leaving the boundaries of the planet Earth is certainly not new. The Greek novelist and satirist Lucian of Samosata* already imagined a hectic journey to the moon in the second century, describing with creativity and humour how life up there can be different from life on Earth. The spectacular technological advancement in the last century allowed humanity to move from fiction to reality by eventually setting foot on the moon in 1969. But it was not the death of imagination.

Thousands of stories have since continued to take inspiration from life to look at it through the magnifying lens of fiction. AofAP is the place where the influx of research findings generated in previous systems propagate and finally connect. It is where the accuracy of science finally merges with the ingenuity of narration in a creative synthesis. Through thematic studies, fiction stories, and guides, we want to continue the work of exploration with unreasonable scenarios, novelty, and, of course, humour. And who knows, one scenario may come true in the near future.

THEMATIC Studies

Thematic studies are thought to take a deep look into the historical journeys that made scientific discoveries possible. The collection is divided into various sections, each dedicated to a specific branch of science. We aim to encounter the pivotal moments and brilliant minds contributing to humanity’s ever-expanding knowledge.
