NeurAstra
— A Deep Dive into Science, Nature & Space
As we stand on the cusp of a new era of space exploration, NeurAstra serves as a beacon for those dedicated to unravelling the mysteries of space and its profound implications for Life on and beyond Earth.
In the vast expanse of the universe, our mission is clear: to investigate, understand, and highlight the human potential for adaptation in remote and extreme environments. NeurAstra aspires to bridge the gap between terrestrial life and the cosmic realm through exploration, innovation, and collaboration. To this end, the organisation is articulated around several projects (a.k.a. SYSTEMS), each emphasising the concepts of observation and research through different approaches (i.e., theoretical and empirical) and perspectives (i.e., scientific, historical, and philosophical).
The Pale Blue Dot — A Long Story
Questioning the origins, development, and evolution of Life on Earth, as well as the potential implications for humans inhabiting space, is an inspiring initiative. Still, it requires gathering knowledge from a vast array of disciplines, a lot of determination, and time.
Time to ask the relevant questions, time to look in all directions, time to make all the necessary mistakes, time to stop and think, time to develop the tools and resources needed to extract meaning from all of that, and, finally, time to find an efficient way to recapitulate and share the beginning of a rough draft of answers.
It is a lifetime journey.
The work of pioneer researchers throughout the centuries makes it even more apparent: science is a continuous effort and a perpetual quest for improvement and accuracy where new questions arise—even when we are not done with our previous ones.
Such an initiative is undoubtedly too ambitious. But also too fascinating to be disregarded.
At its own scale and pace, step by step, NeurAstra embraced this challenge and started to share its story. The story of a unique place where observation leads to research (S01), research to exploration (S02/S03/S04), exploration to reflection (S05), reflection to discoveries (S06), and discoveries to narratives (S07/S08). And, in a virtuous cycle, this story is expected to start again and again.

AltaNube 74
OUR LABORATORY OF OBSERVATION & RESEARCH
In the French Alps, not far from the Swiss border—where particle accelerators are shaking, neutral eta mesons are swirling, and cloud chambers are saturating—a window opens onto branches laden with bright plums, colourful shrubs of raspberries and blueberries, and the vast fields of experimentation that the world as to offer.
Situated near the Mont-Salève and Lake Annecy, the NeurAstra laboratory—AltaNube 74—is surrounded by stories that paved the way for exploration and discoveries in domains as diverse as physics, astronomy, aviation, and biology. Humbly, we—Les Nouveaux Cosmiques—aspire to draw on these inspiring resources and continue this scientific quest on Earth, and beyond.
