Gathering in Andorra

RDV:  Comapedrosa Nature Park, La Massana, Andorra

Date: 11.10.2025 (08:00 AM – 11:00 PM)

ABOUT THE EVENT
With this event we will celebrate another orbit around the Sun for NeurAstra, and what better way to do so than under the open sky of the Pyrenees!  This year’s anniversary will take us to the breathtaking Comapedrosa Nature Park, home to Andorra’s highest peak and some of the most stunning alpine landscapes in Europe.

During the day, we’ll set out on a group hike through the park, exploring mountain trails, glacial valleys, and hidden viewpoints that echo NeurAstra’s spirit of exploration and curiosity. Expect lively conversations about science, nature, and human adaptability as we walk together through the crisp autumn air.
After the sun sets, we’ll gather again for a night of stargazing, sharing telescopes, stories, and reflections under one of the clearest skies in the Pyrenees.

“Cosmic Connections — Life Without Gravity” is our first social event to be held in person in Alp, Spain. The event is thought to explore the fascinating world of organisms’ evolution under gravity and the implications of altered gravity fields for the future of space exploration.

AT A GLANCE
Research conducted in microgravity conditions, both in space and using analogue environments on Earth, has provided critical insights into the physiological and biological effects of reduced gravity on various organisms, including humans. This research is essential for understanding the challenges of long-duration space travel and developing countermeasures to ensure the health and safety of space travellers. It also brings precious information about life evolution and adaptation on Earth.
